Espresso Tonic is the drink from the specialty-coffee scene, ready to drink in a 250 ml organic can – created by Sankt Sprizz (Bad Aibling) together with Hamburg organic-coffee pioneer Mount Hagen. This is where editors find everything they need for their coverage: facts, print-quality photos, story angles and, in Johannes Schubert, a founder who replies fast.

Story angles
- The queue in Nuremberg: At Biofach 2025, Sankt Sprizz and Mount Hagen shared a trade-fair bar – Farid Keller poured fresh espresso over Johannes Schubert's tonic, and the line waiting in front of it turned into a product idea. The full origin story →
- The coffee-bar trend goes ready to drink: Espresso Tonic used to exist only freshly mixed – now it comes as an organic can in retail.
- Munich × Hamburg: A Bavarian one-man start-up and the organic-coffee pioneer from Hamburg develop a drink together.
- Two brands, one house: Why the second drink isn't called Sankt Sprizz – its own brand for the chiller cabinet, so the Bioland premium brand keeps its own profile.
- Sober-curious, but honest: An alcohol-free grown-up drink that imitates nothing – with natural caffeine (approx. 40 mg) instead of a sugar rush, plus a decaf version for the evening.
Quotes from founder Johannes Schubert
"We could have made it easier on ourselves – water with coffee flavouring would have been simpler. We didn't. The can holds real, cold-brewed espresso."
"Espresso Tonic belongs in the chiller cabinet next to the energy drinks – as the more honest option: real cold brew, natural caffeine, no sugar rush."
